The new station for the S-Bahn (urban trains) in Lövenich on the upgraded line Cologne-Düren (ABS 4) seen from the Goethestraße on 24 September 2001. The view onto the eastern pillar shows the bridge for the southern S-Bahn track on the right and the bridge for the platform on the left. At the left edge a part of the bridge for the northern S-Bahn track is visible, north of it is the bridge for the highspeed tracks. The hole in the platform marks the place where the elevator will be built. Behind it is one of the staircases, the other one was in my back.

In the center are the remains of the old line, which will be rebuilt for the S-Bahn (urban trains). While the northern track runs straight through in this area, the southern track will have a curve to pass the platform. On the right are the new highspeed tracks, which are at this time used by all trains. For stopping trains they are fitted with temporary platforms.
