Lindau - Central Station
Lindau Central Station. This station is only a few hundred meters away from the coastline of the Bodensee (Lake Constance), shared by Germany, Austria and Switzerland and is fed by the Rhine at the west and southeast ends. This is the last intercity / eurocity station in Germany for trains headed to Austria and Switzerland and points further afield. Also, between here and Geltendorf (including Memmingen and Buchloe) the line is not electrified, yet the train is pulled by DB-218 diesel cars all the way to Munich central station.

This was taken Friday, 24th July 1998. I was riding the EC 92 (Angelika Kaufmann) with the Sommer Spezial from Munich to Zürich.
