The new platform and the old station building in the station of Königsdorf
on the upgraded line Cologne-Düren
(<a href="http://www-users.rwth-aachen.de/christoph.schmitz2/strecke/strecke.html">ABS 4</a>)
seen on 15 August 2001. In the past there was a platform next to the building,
but in the future the space in front of it will be used for the highspeed
tracks which have no platforms. K&ouml;nigsdorf will be served by the S-Bahn
(urban trains) running on the tracks next to the new platform. The pedestrian
bridge continues to the left passing over a parking place and then meeting the
main street which is nearly on the same level.
