seen on 29 December 2001. On the left is the platform between the tracks for
the S-Bahn (urban trains). On the right is the area for the highspeed tracks,
the southern one is already assembled. As the whole traffic will run on them
for some months, temporary platforms are needed for the trains that stop here.
The end of the southern temporary platform can be seen. Some
<a href="http://www-users.rwth-aachen.de/christoph.schmitz2/kssignal.html">Ks
signals</a> are standing at the end of the platform area. At the S-Bahn track
is a block signal, at the highspeed track is a distant signal repeater. Behind
the block signal is a distant signal for the other direction, seen from the
back.
