Waiting for the regional-express on perron 4 in Köln Hbf. Short before its arrival an ICE entered the track and stoped. "Nice B... S..., now I have to change the perron, cause the track on the other side is occupied too and my RE is viewable at horizon yet" I thought. "Come on, anounce which perron..." but the voice into the perron-speakers kept silent. Meanwhile the RE had stoped at a red semaphore. Silence. RE started slowly. "WHICH PERRON?". RE crawled. "Hmm, how look the switches?". Big eyes, look back - yes ICE is still there. "At perron 4 pay attention the RE to Hamm enters." Very great eyes, never seen such a situation before: Two absolutely independent trains at one track.
An ICE 3 EMU and RE 1 with DB 146 009 at track 4 in Cologne main-station on 16th of February 2008. Both bound for Düsseldorf.
