The northern end of the former station Köln-Bocklemünd on the line to Grevenbroich and Mönchengladbach, seen looking towards north on 11 December 2004. Passenger service was cancelled around 1970, but the station was in use as overtaking station up to 1999, as far as I know. Platform edges have been removed, but the entrances of the pedestrian tunnel are still visible (the eastern one is in the picture). Also the red brick building seems to belong to the station. In the background the Freimersdorfer Weg level crossing is visible. Most likely it was covered by the signals of the station in the past, nowadays there are some block signals. The crossing is equipped with a radar scanner (note the "egg" between the signal and the catenary mast), but the mast with the camera is still present (behind the catenary mast).
