The station Köln/Bonn Airport seen on 13 June 2004, the first day of
regular service. This is the southern access area, with escalators (in front),
elevators (behind) and stairs (in the background) leading up to a level above
the tracks, but still under the ground. At the northern end of the station,
this level is the lowest floor of Terminal 2, here it is located under an empty
area next to Terminal 1. The way to Terminal 1 is not yet covered, one has to
walk through the free air (or the rain, depending on the weather).
