Most of the old hall of Kiel main station was demolished after it had been renovated extensively. Deutsche Bahn apparently had forgotten to to scrutinise the statics of the building. 2004 (c) J. C. Stiller (stiller_the_at_symbol_brain.uni-freiburg.de) |
Kiel Hbf viewed vom north.
Notice the missing platform hall, it was removed during the now at least five year renovation.
If there ever will be a new hall? No one knows ...
Thankfully the glass front constructions have been removed as well.

Local train to Hamburg viewed from north waiting at Kiel Hbf.
There used to be a platform Hall, but the train company seems to think the people of Kiel are used to rain.
