Erfurt Hauptbahnhof, reception building Reception building of Erfurt main station constructed from 1887 to plans by railroad inspector Eduard Keil and the government architect Otto Erlandsen and put into operation in 1893. It is located 30 meters east of the first station building and was an island station consisting of this station vestibule and a large reception building between the tracks now replaced by the large train shed behind. The buildings were designed in the style of historicism, with yellow brickwork and red sandstone walls and ledges. Photo taken Monday 22 September 2014.
