The station of Buir on the upgraded line Cologne-Düren
(<a href="http://www-users.rwth-aachen.de/christoph.schmitz2/strecke/strecke.html">ABS 4</a>)
seen from the south side on 4 September 2002. On the right is the new road
tunnel, which has two parts to pass under the S-Bahn (urban trains) tracks in
the foreground and the highspeed tracks in the background. Also the eastern
ends of the new platforms for the S-Bahn will be located here. The northern one
will be accessed through the gap between the tunnel parts, while the stairs
under construction on the left will lead to the southern platform.
