The level crossing in Buir on the upgraded line Cologne-Düren
(<a href="http://www-users.rwth-aachen.de/christoph.schmitz2/strecke/strecke.html">ABS 4</a>)
seen from west on 23 August 2001. On the right side is the old line. The
highspeed tracks on the left are under construction. The new tunnel (not
visible) was built under the highspeed tracks, but to finish it the old line
has to be taken out of service. For this time the highspeed tracks will be used
together with the level crossing (at normal speed). On the right is the old
station building, on the left is the signalbox. Behind the level crossing is a
temporary platform between the tracks.
