is now restricted to 140 km/h as the line doesn't permit any higher speeds, in
order to allow longer revision cycles. For similar reasons the RIC status was

Some of the compartments have been converted to "business compartments" with only four seats
and tables with electric plugs (no price difference to 6-seat compartments). The remaining
seats have remained the same as built, only seat covers and curtains were replaced.

This is one of the six-seat compartments. These cars are now more than
40 years old and will be taken out of regular service soon, replaced by
Amz 210 (Bautzen 1991) rebuilt to ABm cars (first class compartments with five seats,
second class compartments with six seats). Each train from München will have two
ABm cars, one running to Oberstdorf, the other to Lindau.
