In Gottenheim begegnet ein "Regio-Shuttle" der SWEG einem
älteren MAN-Triebwagen. Schienenbusse dieses Typs sind
vereinzelt noch auf der Kaiserstuhlbahn anzutreffen.

An Adtranz RegioShuttle meets its predecessor, an Uerdinger Schienenbus
in Staufen. This line is operated by the SWEG, a German private railway
company. It goes from Bad Krozingen (south of Freiburg) to Untermuenstertal,
a branch abandoned in the Seventies led to Sulzburg.
The line will be converted to S-Bahn operation with in the next years,
however S-Bahn means Diesel driven rail cars here...

Regio Shuttle, buildt by Adtranz, in service for the SWEG, seen in Oberharmersbach in June 1998. As far as we know, the SWEG has now replaced all other DMUs by these modern Regio Shuttles.

Train Freiburg - Breisach composed of four first generation
RegioShuttles of the BSB, SWEG, BSB and SWEG again.
I have seen trains of up to five RegioShuttles, all under power.

and SWEG (right). These units are identical (except for the
livery) and often run together in the same train.
