Zum 100-jährigen Geburtstag der S-Bahn Hamburg (2. September 2007) gab es eine kleine Zugparade zwischen Ohlsdorf und Poppenbüttel. Hier der letzte historische Triebzug der BR 471 mit der Nr. 471 082a) Die ersten Fahrzeuge dieser Art wurden 1939 angeschafft und nach rund 60 Jahren wurde die letzte Einheit am 26.10.2001 aus dem regulären Fahrgasteinsatz verabschiedet. Hamburg-Altona S-Bahn station This is an old S-Bahn train. This is S-11 to Ohlsdorf-Poppenbüttel, which will cross the bridge between the Aussenalster and Innenalster (the lake of Hamburg). Altona is a four-track underground station, with two central platforms. The S1, S2 and S3 go from Altona through Hauptbahnhof on the underground section between Reeperbahn and Jungfernsteig. A northbound class 471 two-unit trainset of the S-Bahn Hamburg (Hamburg mass rapid transit) and a southbound regional train from Lübeck towards Hamburg-Hauptbahnhof (Hamburg main station) meet near Berliner Tor. This is a very interesting vista point close to Berliner Tor station as both tracks on the left hand side belong to HHA (Hamburger Hochbahn AG - Hamburg underground), both tracks in the middle to S-Bahn Hamburg (Hamburg mass rapid transit) and both tracks on the right hand side to DB line from Hamburg via Lübeck and Kiel towards Denmark.
