Diesel locos 6.306.1 (left) and 6.304.1 (right) seen parked at Düren on 26
March 2003. 6.306.1 was delivered just some weeks before the picture was taken.
Note that it is labeled "Rurtalbahn" instead of "DKB" due to a reorganisation
of the company.

Diesel loco 6.306.1 of the Dürener Kreisbahn (DKB) seen at Düren on 7
October 2003, after a serious shunting accident in the previous night. The
train consisting of 6.305.1 (which was damaged less), 6.306.1 and four coal
cars overran a buffer stop and derailed. At this time 6.305.1 and three of the
cars are already removed, the fourth car is about to be lifted away. The
accident also destroyed some signal cables, leading to delayed operation on the
Cologne-Aachen line in the following days.

the first one in the train, next to the locos) is just lifted away. Some of the
coal, which was intended for a paper factory in Lendersdorf, fell out and can
be seen next to the loco.

put onto a truck to bring it somewhere where it will be repaired or scrapped (I
hope the first will become true).
