Diesel locos 6.304.1 (left), 6.305.1 (middle) and 6.306.1 (right) are parked at
Düren on 9 April 2003. Their liveries differ in some points. 6.305.1 has
an additional inscription of the track working company Kölngleis, for
which it often moves work trains. 6.306.1, the newest loco, is labeled
"Rurtalbahn" instead of "DKB" due to a reorganisation of the company.

6.304.1 of the Rurtalbahn (former DKB) is shunting ES 64 U2-029 and some
passenger cars on the north side of Düren station on 17 March 2004. The ES
64, which is hired to Railogic (a company which cooperates with the
Rurtalbahn), was now fitted with Rurtalbahn logos. The Rurtalbahn network
(including this part of the station) is not electrified, the electric loco is
used for trains on DB network.

Diesel loco 6.304.1 of the Dürener Kreisbahn (DKB) pulls a train spreading
ballast onto a newly laid track, seen near Düren on 23 February 2003.
Later a tamper is used to put the ballast between the sleepers. This track was
removed and built up new for a better alignment. Note that the catenary is not
right above the track now, later the brackets were replaced by longer ones.

Diesel loco 6.304.1 of the Dürener Kreisbahn (DKB) passes the southern
edge of Düren with a coal train to the Kappa paper factory at Zülpich
on 25 September 2003. The Düren-Zülpich section of the line to
Euskirchen was unused for 15 years, since August 2003 there are three pairs of
coal trains per week, running on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Note that the
barriers at the level crossing are up, all crossings have to be secured
manually at this time.

Diesel loco 6.304.1 of the Rurtalbahn (former DKB) is waiting on the north
side of Düren station on 5 March 2004. It is the only remaining loco of
this type, after 6.305.1 and 6.306.1 were damaged in an accident in October
2003. Please note that the DKB logo on the cab was replaced by the Rurtalbahn
logo. On the left is ES 64 U2-029 which was hired to Railogic (another railway
company from the Düren area) at that time.

DNG 80151 (Cologne-Lendersdorf) on 27 March 2004. It is clearly visible that

ES 64 U2-029 is waiting on the north side of Düren station on 5 March
2004, coupled to diesel loco 6.304.1 of the Rurtalbahn (former DKB). At that
time it was hired to Railogic, a company based in Kreuzau near Düren which
obviously cooperates with the Rurtalbahn. The catenary on the north side of the
station was removed, so later the diesel loco shunted the electric loco to the
south side, from where it departed on it's own.
