DBAG - Germany On summer sundays, a "Regiosprinter" DMU of the Rurtalbahn operates a local service between Kall (on the Eifelstrecke) and Schleiden. This line is famous for its street running in the town square of Olef. In the picture, the train leaves what was once the station - and still a stop - of Gemünd. DBAG - Germany Schleiden is now the end point of the line from Kall. The original end at Hellenthal cannot be reached anymore because of a weak bridge. RTB 6.005.1 in the station of Schleiden. Schleiden, 11-09-2005 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |

RegioSprinter 6.001.1 of the Rurtalbahn is waiting at Kall (on Cologne-Trier) on
9 October 2005, the second car is 6.010.1. Later the train will depart towards
Schleiden using the Oleftalbahn, a branch line that is served only on sundays in
the summer. The exit signal can be seen near the station building in the
background. At the right edge of the picture the main line disappears towards
Cologne.

RegioSprinter 6.002.1 of the Dürener Kreisbahn (DKB) is waiting for
departure to Untermaubach at Düren on 24 September 2002. On the line into
the Rur valley south of Düren there is an hourly service to Heimbach with
additional trains ending at Untermaubach, so the northern part of the line is
served every 30 minutes during certain times. The new low platform where the
train is standing was just built, it is the second day it is in use.

RegioSprinter 6.003.1 of the Dürener Kreisbahn (DKB) is waiting at
Düren on 13 August 2002. It is advertising for
SIG Combibloc, a company located in
Linnich near the new end station of the line. Please note that the destination
indicator is not (directly) used for advertising, the name of the end station
officially contains the name of the company.

Düren on 13 August 2002. It is advertising for
SIG Combibloc, a company located in
Linnich near the new end station of the line. The inscription says "There is a
piece of Linnich everywhere on the world", relating to the fact that their
products (packages mainly for drinks) are used worldwide. The part of the
advertising covering the windows is made of a tape with many small holes, it is
nearly transparent from inside.

RegioSprinter 6.005.1 of the Rurtalbahn is waiting at Düren as
RTB 82290 on 1 February 2008. Although the destination indicator clearly
states "Obermaubach", the train ends at Untermaubach (the previous station)
according to the timetable information. The special red livery advertises for a
local outlet store.
