Meridian is a brand of Bayerische Oberlandbahn for the lines from München to Salzburg, Kufstein and Holzkirchen. 35 FLIRT 3 units from Stadler Pankow were acquired, including 7 three-car units (158 seats) and 28 six-car units (333 seats). Meridian started on 2013 december 15 but some of the trains were not yet approved or had to be taken out of service shortly after the start due to numerous technical problems. Until these problems are solved, some of the Meridian trains are operated with a variety of replacement equipment. Here we see two coupled six-car units, the first (ET 309) going to Salzburg, the second (ET 306) to Rosenheim. München Hauptbahnhof track 11, 2014-02-04. |

This counter was closed, maybe it is for the train guard or an option
for a later meal service? Currently no such service is offered, but
maybe this is because not all Flirt units are in service yet.
