Usually FEG uses three vehicles of the same class but with yellow front painting. The Freiberger Eisenbahn (FEG) belongs to Rhenus Veniro, which also operates trains on the Alzey-Kirchheimbolanden line. Photo taken Sunday 4 October 2009. Photo: Steffen Mokosch (Steffen.Mokosch@web.de) Correction: This unit is not a new railcar for the Hunsrückbahn but the former VT 3.03 "Esther", one of the three existing railcars FEG VT3.01-VT3.03. All of them will get the new colors of Rhenus Veniro. Thanks to Heiko Schneider |

Freiberger Eisenbahn VT3.01 arrives in Holzhau just as the sun comes out after
a sleet shower. I don't know why they always seem to use the second track.

Freiberger Eisenbahn VT3.01 in Holzhau, during a brief sunny moment. Up here,
a little snow still remains, while the spring has already started down in the
valley. A long time ago, this line continued to Moldova in the Czech republic,
but now the rest of the line is used as a cross-country ski run or bicycle trail.

Freiberger Eisenbahn VT3.03 in Freiberg (Sachsen), track 7. In earlier years,
there were steam trains and diesel locomotives with double-deck sets, but
nowadays a single diesel Regioshuttle appears to be just the right size.
Freiberger Eisenbahn is a
local subsidiary of the eurobahn, the
german local transport branch of VIA GTI and Rhenus, and started service on the Muldentalbahn
in november 2000, by a 19-year contract. 2001-03-14.
