MEG 345 133, Gera Railway Depot Historic DR diesel shunter 105 133 now operated by Mitteldeutsche Eisenbahn (MEG) exhibited at the former Gera Railway Depot on Geraer Eisenbahnwelten open-door day 2015. Built by LEW (serial number 17578) and put into service 4 November 1981. Put out of service by DB Cargo 27 January 2003 and sold to MEG. Since 2013 the locomotive is on loan at the Gera Railway Worlds where it also got back its original livery and numbering plate. NVR classification is 98 80 3345 133-3 D-MEG. MEG diesel locomotive 345 152, Weimar Historic DR diesel shunter 105 152 exhibited at the 20th festival of the former railway depot Weimar. 50 3626 visible to the right. Built by LEW (serial number 17678) and put into service 2 September 1982. Renumbered to 345 152 in 1992. Put out of service 27 January 2003 and transferred to Mitteldeutsche Eisenbahn (MEG) where it got number 86. Loaned to the Thüringer Eisenbahnverein after 2010 where it was set back to the original state with orange livery and metal plates. Photo taken Sunday 31 May 2015. MEG Diesel Locomotive. Unit 77 is an 0-8-0 diesel shunter originally built in 1979 by the LEW. It is a V60 type rated at 478 kW, 640 hp, but the MEG website at www.meg-bahn.de describes the loco as class 346. It is seen at the DB Halberstadt works on Saturday September 21st, 2002.
