On January 28 2004 snow plough 99-09-82 before snow plough 99-09-75 pushed by a 199.8 provided for passable tracks. The photo was taken in strong snow on the Brocken station. HSB Snowplow. Snowplow 99-09-82 was built by Meiningen in 1991 for the HSB and was photographed at Wernigerode Westerntor on Saturday September 21st, 2002. One of the Görlitz 1909 snowplows is seen behind it.

Not rail related? I don't think so - This shows the former south entrance of Tunnel
A of the Mittelwerk factory in the Kohnstein. Two railway lines
went through the whole of the mountain for supply of the underground factory
where V1 and V2 were build in 1944/45!

Y-shaped sleepers are used on the Brocken line for improved stability of the tracks.

Unknown device beneath the brocken line. I saw more of these devices beneath different HSB lines. Don't know what they are for.
