A train of the HSB at Brocken station, in typical cold, foggy, stormy
weather, November 1995. The carriages were built in the early 20th
century, they were rebuilt in the 70s/80s by the DR, with new carbodies
and windows but the original different lengths. The cream/red livery
was introduced by the DR as standard livery for narrow gauge trains in
the 70s. The cars are steam heated and have all open end platforms.
