KBE ET204 pictured at an exhibition called rail and street at the Gruga-Park Essen in 1970
ET204 was built in 1964 by WMD Donauworth. It was the third unit of the worlds first series
of completely welded Aluminium carbodies.

A scene on the KBE taken in the early 70s
The information below has been kindly supplied by Jochen Wtal
Photograph taken at Cologne station Hohenzollernbruck. This was the start of the
Reinuferbahn local railway to Bonn till 1978. This station does not exist anymore.
The local railway is now part of the Cologne light rail network and uses the
Cologne Underground network in the City of Cologne.

bevor sie 1973 leihweise zur KBE kam. 1974 wurde sie dann von der KBE gekauft.

Rheinuferbahn Cologne-Wesseling-Bonn, which is in service since 1906 (for 100
years, thus this exhibition). Nowadays this line is used by tramcars which
travel on the underground network in the city centres of Cologne and Bonn.
