38 1772, former prussian P8, in latest DB outfit ("Witte-Ears" and
"Bathtube-Tender") that was
leading the historic Teuto-Express between 1983 and 1993. Due to boiler
conditons it had to
be taken out of service and was stored in Lengerich-Hohne and went to
Dieringhausen in 2000. (1 Sep 1991 Bad Laer)

A show with Steam and Snow, a very rare shot on today's TWE! After the first
snowfall
for winter season 1998/1999 steam engine 50 3655 (former DRG 50 2220 ÜK,
Borsig 1942)
hurries with the yearly Eisenbahn-Tradition Santa Claus special-train from
Hövelhof
to Gütersloh Nord through the former commuter trains' halt Gütersloh

At least since three decades the old platform in Gütersloh Nord has seen no
railcars on
both sides. Until the end of passenger service in 1978/79 left track No. 5
was for the
Versmold/Lengerich and right track No. 3 for the Verl/Hövelhof(-Paderborn)
destination.
Sister railway's special runs 100 years anniversary with Lint42 (NWB) and
Talent (OME). (12 Aug 2000 Gütersloh Nord)

First run of a new lightwheighted streamlined railcar on the TWE when
Talbot's few weeks
young prototype Talent passes during public shuttle service
Versmold-Gütersloh-Bielefeld
a typical green-tree-tunnel between Blankenhagen and Gütersloh Nord.
Meanwhile there are
ideas to (re-)install passenger trains
(Versmold-)Harsewinkel-Gütersloh-Verl(-Paderborn)! (17 Aug 1996 Gütersloh Holler Str.)

In the morning light V 131, one of three MaK diesel hydraulic enginges that
were
built and deliverd for the TWE in 1968, is passing a railway crossing in
northern
suburbia of Gütersloh. Although MaK type V100PA is related to DB series
211/212,
educated eyes notice many diffences in the shape of motorbody and driver's
cab.

Just a few months after its opening, V 132 is backing two transwaggons of
the daily
evening freight train to Paderborn into the new container terminal Gütersloh
Ost near
the motorway to add just one container car. Meanwhile the TWE succesfully
requiered
new loading business with full container trains destinated to Poland and
Czechia. (April 1999, Gütersloh Ost)

In 1995 two new MaK type G1205BB engines were placed in TWE-service.
Colloding with
a heavy truck on a railway crossing the latest TWE diesel was more than a
year out
of duties while it was rebuilt in the TWE shop in Lengerich-Hohne. While
sister
enginge V 156 still remaines in original orange-blue TWE design, the rebuilt
V 157
is posing in fresh latest DEG paint sheme at the platform of Gütersloh Nord.

Only in 1989 and between autumn 1993 and spring 1994 remarkable "Lollo" V
216 was in
operating duties with heavy steel-trains behind. The former Krupp-built DB
prototype
V 160 004 arrived in February 1989 as V 31 of the Hersfelder Eisenbahn GmbH
and was
placed in service in old HEG paint that fittes with longtime orange-blue TWE
design.

In traditional cream-red railcar-paint TWE proudly presents its VT 03
(Wegmann 1926),
Germany's eldest operating diesel railcar. Nearly scrapped it was rebuilt in
early
1980s at the TWE shops in Lengerich-Hohne. It can be hired and is used for
light freight
trains. Past meets future on 100 years anniversary with Lint42 (NWB) and
Talent (OME). (13 Aug 2000 Gütersloh Nord)

Next to the loco-houses of the TWE station in Lengerich are several tracks

Not far from the DB station in Lengerich is the main area of the private
