This locomotive is equipped with a Faiveley Transpact C-AKv coupler,
the latest development in the endless story of a SA3-compatible automatic
coupler that may one day replace the traditional screw coupler. Thanks to
a "mixed coupling" it can easily be coupled to conventional coupling hooks.
