Siemens Dispolok type ME 26 (har også visse lighedstegn med DSB's ME-loks), foreviget på BV LOK ØST i 2000.
Siemens Dispolok type ME 26 in the DSB LOK ØST works by Copenhagen Central Station in 2000. The Danish State Rilways won the rights for rebuilt of the machines, originally built for the NSB (Norwegian State Railways). The NSB order was cancelled, due to Siemens not being able to deliver fully functional locomotives at the aggeed terms. Instead Siemens decided to rebuild the locomotives into "Dispoloks" -locomotives for rent/lease. |

To Siemens Dispoloks stikker deres bemærkelsesværdige snuder frem i København 2000.
Fronterne har den typiske facon, kendt fra lokomotiver af typerne Di5 (ME-typen, der også
får deres hoved-eftersyn i København), El 16 og El 17.
Two Siemens Dispoloks showing their distinctive front ends in Copenhagen 2000. Those locomotives were shaped to meet the extreme weather conditions in Norway. The front is supposed to function as some kind of snow-plough in itself, and is a common sight on locomotives in Norway on following series: Di5, El 16 & El 17. |
DispoLok ME 26-05 at Bettembourg on 26 May 2004. ME 26-05 was the dramatic failure by Siemens to (try to) build twelve powerful Diesel locos for the Norwegian railways. After just two very problematic years Siemens bought back the locos, rebuild them and deployed within her own locpool DispoLok until 2006.
