While the small steam engine of the
Department of Rail Vehicles and
Materials-Handling Technology (Institut für Schienenfahrzeuge und
Fördertechnik) of the Aachen
University of Technology (RWTH) makes a short trip on the area of the
department on 28 May 2003, it passes the olf Köf II which is parked next
to a car with an advertising container. Between them in the background, you can
see 145-CL 004 of rail4chem which is
waiting with DFG 46103 (Antwerpen-BASF - Ludwigshafen-BASF) in the station
Aachen West.

University of Technology (RWTH). Built in 1921 by Krauss, it is preserved
and sometimes even used for work at the University. It was photographed
standing in front of the hall (next to the station Aachen West) on 25 January
2002.

The cab of the small steam engine of the
Department of Rail Vehicles and
Materials-Handling Technology (Institut für Schienenfahrzeuge und
Fördertechnik) of the Aachen
University of Technology (RWTH), seen on 28 May 2003. At the bottom a part
of the boiler is visible. The big gauge with the two pointers shows the main
air pipe pressure (black) and the main reservoir pressure (red). On the right
is a gauge for the brake cylinder pressure and on the left is one for the
boiler pressure.

plate states that the loco was built in 1921 by Krauss at Munich as No. 7899. I
guess that the Chemical Factory Uetikon is where it was used. 770 kg of coal
and 3.2 cubic meters of water can be stored.

center should be the air pump. Left of it is the connection between the
Heusinger's gear and the lever in the cab.
