DR diesel-electric locomotive 120 286 under a strange sort
of scaffolding at the railway museum of Dieringhausen. The
number plate is inaccurate: it should normally have a check
Digit. Built 1969 at the locomotive factory Woroshilovgrad;
was based at Berlin-Pankow; received sound mufflers in 1990
and was taken out of service in 1993. Operational.

DB steam locomotive 41 186 at the water crane in
the railway museum of Dieringhausen. Built 1939 by
Maschinenfabrik Esslingen, last based at Rheine, rebuilt
1961 with new oil-fired boiler, taken out of service
1977. Operational. 2001-06-03.

Industrial steam locomotive No. 43 at the railway museum of
Dieringhausen. The oldest locomotive of the collection, built
1906 by Krauss (München). Length 6540 mm, power 110 kW,
speed 20 km/h, in service at Arbed-Saarstahl Völklingen
until 1980 for shunting liquid steel cars. Not operational.

Preserved railbus class 795 in Dieringhausen, providing a
shuttle service to the railway museum. Built 1954 by
Waggonbau Uerdingen, based at Lethmate and Dieringhausen,
taken out of service in 1979, when the line to Olpe was
closed. 2001-06-03.

DR steam locomotive 95 0009-1 at the railway museum of
Dieringhausen. Built 1922 by Borsig (Berlin), based at
Puhl and Probstzella, rebuilt 1966 with new oil-fired
boiler, taken out of service 1981. Only five units of
this class are preserved. 2001-06-03.

Dieringhausen. This locomotive once belonged to the
well-known food company Brandt. 2001-06-03.

Breuer Lokomotor, one of the strangest (and shortest)
shunters ever built, in the railway museum of Dieringhausen.
Total length 3100 mm (the length over buffers is a lot
shorter), power 62.5 kW, speed 30 km/h, built 1943 by
H. Breuer & Co. (Hoechst), was in service for F &
G Dielektra (Köln) until 1987. 2001-06-03.

TAKRAF crane at the railway museum of Dieringhausen.
Type EDK 80/3 number 738, length 8500 mm, weight 58 t,
speed 12 km/h (self-powered) or 80 km/h (pulled), built
1984 by VEB Schwermaschinenbau S. M. Kirow, in service
for Papierfabrik Merseburg until 1990, operational.
The crane can be extended up to 24.6 m and lift 20 t.
Energy supply: diesel-electric or by external cable.

to be coupled to a flat car.

Industrial shunter (articulated), actually consisting of
two small locomotives, one with cab and one without, in
the railway museum of Dieringhausen. This locomotive once
belonged to Bayer; it was rebuilt from two metre-gauge
locomotives and regauged to standard gauge. 2001-06-03.

for bulk goods such as coal or gravel with a cab and diesel

Industrial shunter E1 operated from batteries or overhead
wire in the railway museum of Dieringhausen. Length 7750 mm,
weight 40 t, built 1919 at Rheinische Stahlwerke (Duisburg),
in service for Eisenbahn und Häfen (Duisburg and Witten),
not operational. Original colour was green with two pantographs.

Another rusty diesel shunter - this is the PMZ 330 No. 2105,
length 6750 mm, power 29.4 kW, speed 18 km/h, mass 20 t,
built 1928 by Deutz (Köln), in service as a work train
locomotive for tram tracks in Kön (hence the narrow
profile), then for Brata-Mehl (Neuss), taken out of service
in 1957. Railway

of Dieringhausen. Wheel arrangement C, length 10000 mm, wheel
Diameter 1050 mm, power 294 kW, speed 30 km/h, weight 50 t.
Built 1984 by RAW Meiningen, was used in Bleicherode until
1992. It would be operational if there was an external steam
supply. 2001-06-03.
