One of two sector turntables in Cossebaude (west of Dresden). It was
used to connect the plant "Elektrowärme Sörnewitz" to the railway
network until 1993. Shunting (moving single freight wagons across
the street) was mostly done with winches. 2001-07-17.

The other of two sector turntables in Cossebaude (west of Dresden).
It was used to connect the concrete works to the railway network
until 1993. Today the plant no longer exists. You can see how the
turntable rotates around an eccentric axis. The concrete works had
an own small locomotive to bring its cars to Cossebaude station.

Turntable in Zittau. Having a turntable at the end of several tracks
in a station was common in the 19th century, but is very rare today.
