Skytrain connecting Düsseldorf airport to the S-Bahn station.
This is a monorail peoplemover system derived from the H-Bahn in
Dortmund, in the tradition of the classic hanging trains in Wuppertal.
The box-shaped track first came up in the 1960s (experimental SAFEGE
system in France), similar systems are used in Japan for urban
transport.

The system is operated with automatic 2-car trains, here are cars
11+12 coming into the railway station.
