Rendsburg Bridge
Rendsburg High Bridge (crossing the North & Baltic Sea Canal), seen from drivers cab of a NWB LINT 41. Two interesting details: Catenary for the track on the right has been removed due to construction works. The "E" seen on the left indicates the end of a speed limit area (16.08.2002)

Rendsburg Transporter Bridge
This transporter bridge in Rendsburg (crossing the North & Baltic Sea canal) was constructed in 1911 and is still used for local traffic (Capacity 6 cars per crossing). The bridge is mounted with steel cables to a transporter car, which uses the DB AG Railway Highbridge on the Neumünster - Flensburg - Line as a suspension

Rendsburger Hochbrücke seen from the cab of a class 628 diesel trainset.
All trains have to pass a "loop" through Rendsburg to gain height for passing
the Nord-Ostseekanal. The bridge was recently electrified, from June this year
many freight trains running over the Great Belt bridge/tunnel in Denmark will
pass this bridge. 27/04/1997.
