Railway viaducts just south of the station Dresden-Klotzsche.
The stone bridge existed for a longer time, the concrete bridge
in front was added for the new airport line S2. 2001-07-22.

Railway and road bridges near the harbour of Dresden. The bridge on the
left has recently been repainted in a nice blue. 2001-04-16.

Dresden, Marienbrücke, 2001-10-10: These guys are taking apart the
bridge while part of it is still in use of frequent trains. From
the road bridge next to it, it can be nicely seen.

Dresden, Marienbrücke, 2001-10-10: The workers have just removed a
part of the bridge which is being moved into a barge with a big
crane. Half of the bridge will be removed in chunks like this one
and replaced with a new bridge on the new pillars, then the trains
take the new bridge and the other half is replaced in a similar way.
It is planned to complete everything in 2005.

Detail view of the Marienbrücke in Dresden (north bank of the Elbe),
2001-01-30. This gap is visible because the steel bridge for two of
the four tracks has been removed, but the stone arch in front is
preserved. I'm curious what this part of the bridge will look like
when the new 5-track bridge is finished.
