St. Quirin Platz "underground" station in the Giesing district of Munich, Germany. This is on the U-1 line from Kolumbusplatz to Mangfallplatz in southern Munich, which opened in November 1997. The approaching train is of the A-series (1970's). It is headed to Westfriedhof via Gern in northwest Munich. This station has a sort of "snail" or "spanish armada helmet" design, with natural lighting by day. It is not very deep but can be reached by escalator and elevator.
