U-Bahnhof Nollendorfplatz. View of the elevated platforms, serving the U2, looking toward Bülowstrasse. There are two more levels underground which serve U1, U3 and U4. The middle level is used for eastbound trains on the U1. U3 terminates at the same platform and then immediately drives onto a descending (first) side track. On the other side of the middle level platform, trains of U4 terminate and start. Exactly below the middle level is the lowest level, used for westbound U1 trains. The opposite of the platform is used for starting trains of the U3 to Krumme Lanke. The driver of the previously terminated U3 train has taken seat in the other drivers cabin and brings the train via a second descending track to the platform. Ein Zug aus A3L82 mit 649 an der Front fährt in den Bahnhof Schlesisches Tor ein. Diese Fahrzeuge sind selten im Netz anzutreffen, da es nur relativ wenige davon gibt. Erst 10 Jahre nach ihrer Anlieferung kam es zu einer weiteren Fahrzeugbeschaffung im Kleinprofil. Charakteristisch ist das typische Drehstrom-Geräusch beim Anfahren. In den meisten Fahrzeugen der Berliner U-Bahn befinden sich die sogenannten "Berliner Fenster", die permanent irgendwelche Nachrichten, Werbung usw. wiedergeben, was ich ziemlich lästig finde. Dieses "Fenster" wurde bereits zertrümmert, funktioniert aber noch - leider hat die BVG ein großes Problem mit Vandalismus und unternimmt kaum etwas dagegen. In diesem Falle finde ich es weniger schlimm - viel mehr sollte man sich darum kümmern, daß die richtigen Fenster nicht zerkratzt werden! Photoghrapher: Christian "Sithis"
