DB E16 03 (Krauss-Maffei/BBC 1926). Built 1927 as ES1 21003 for KBayStsB, renumbered to E16 03 in the same year, from 1968 numbered 116 003-5 and used until 1976, from 1977 to 1994 it was shown at Aachen. The 21 locomotives of class E16 were the only class with Buchli drive in Germany. Koblenz-Lützel. 2020-10-03. |

Built 1927 by Krauss and Brown Boveri, originally
used for express trains on Bavarian lines, later
for local trains and moving rolling stock into
München Hbf, in service until 1974 (5.1 million km).

Electric locomotive E16 07 (originally ES 1), built 1926 by Krauss and BBC. This is the only big locomotive in Germany with a Buchli drive; the side seen here is the one without these drives.
