DR electric locomotive class 211 #001, Weimar
Historical electric engine 211 001 during an exhibition in Weimar. To the left the trainshed, to the right sister engine 211 049. 211 001 was built and tested together with 211 002 in 1961 by LEW Hennigsdorf. One year later the serial production of 96 engines in total until 1976 was started. They had to pull fast trains with a maximum speed of 120 km/h and were nicknamed "Holzroller".
