In the fifties, the DB built a few battery railcars ETA 176. However, as they were too complicated and expensive, the simpler type ETA 150 was then acquired in greater numbers. Only one ETA 176 has been preserved, it is normally stored in the locomotive depot of Braunschweig, unaccessible to the public, but has been shown on the 10th March 1996. Photo and scan by Tobias B.
