Frontal view of the first ICE 3 end car - a new face for Europe's high speed lines.
If you look closely, you see that it has been a bit hastily completed to get it
finished for Eurailspeed 1998 .... first regular service will be for Expo 2000.

Pantograph for DC catenary on ICE 3 1st class car (DB AG 406 201-4). Six
cars of the international ICE 3 (class 406) will be equipped with one
pantograph each, due to the differences in current systems and overhead
wire geometry. The energy connection to the next car and the 1st class
inscription are not yet in place.

The first ICE 3 BordRestaurant (DB AG 406 301-2), seen from the "corridor
side". Like the restaurants of ICE 1 and ICE 2, it only has one loading
door (here used as exit). As only three cars were ready to be shown, the
gangway is provisionally covered with wood.

As you can see, the Eurailspeed 98 in Berlin-Grunewald was also an umbrella exhibition. Nice trains - bad weather.

Not the ICE 3 is tilting, it's me. Not so easy to handle a camera and an umbrella at the same time with only two hands. Eurailspeed 98 Berlin-Grunewald.
