Two ICE 3 single-system sets (class 403), the ICE 787 from Hamburg and the ICE 867 from Bremen, are being coupled together and will continue as ICE 787 "Karl Adam" towards München. This is a regular operation - still, delays due to coupling problems do occur, and in worst case, the trains are operated separately to their destination (which requires an additional driver and one more timetable slot).
