A pair of unidentified class 189 electric locos passes Treis-Karden (on the Mosel line Koblenz-Trier) with a westbound hopper train on 30 July 2011. Although the locos are equipped with automatic couplers, the train seems to consist of coal hoppers equipped with screw-type coupling (class 189 locos with automatic couplers are preferentially used for heavy ore trains, which have to be operated with such couplers due to their heavy load).
