DB electric locomotive 180 016, Kurort Rathen DB 180 016 pulling its empty car freight towards the Czech border south of Kurort Rathen. These dual-system locomotives are similar to the CD class 372. They are only capable for a maximum speed of 120 km/h and therefore only used for freight service. Six locomotives of the sister class CD 372 were rebuilt to the new class 371 with a maximum speed of 160 km/h and now capable to pull long distance trains over the 160 km/h-section Dresden–Pirna. About one minute after the previous photo, this 180 with a long container
train from Dresden-Friedrichstadt to the Czech republic came over a
different track of the same bridge (west of Dresden Hbf). 2001-05-18.

The EuroCity running thru the station "Kurort Rathen" in the Saxon Switzerland
with a engine number 180. The train will arrive the border to the Republic
of Tschechien few minutes later.

Glorious DB 180 locomotive seen at Decin on the German/Czech border. These locomotives primarily work the Dresden - Praha EC route and are similar to the CZ 372 locomotives. They are built by Skoda.
