Class 139 (old number E40.10) is the same as class 140, but with electric brake. Many locomotives were rebuilt from class 110 with bogies of scrapped class 140 locomotives, the original bogies of those locomotives were used to replace worn-out high-speed bogies on ex-class E10.12/112/114 locomotives (renumbered to 110 485 to 504).
