DB Cargo 290 026-4-5 in front of a CD class 371 with a freight train
slowly pulls through Dresden Hbf in december 2000. This configuration
is common if electricity is switched off on part of the line, though
class 232/234 locomotives are more frequently used to help electric
trails through the gap (especially with passenger trains).
