The traffic red livery of this diesel-electric unit seems to be fading already. The Talent series (Talbot Leichter Nahverkehrs-Triebwagen - developed by Waggonfabrik Talbot before it was merged into Bombardier) introduced streamlined design to regional trains; this would aerodynamically not really be necessary (maximum speed 120 km/h), but meant to attract passengers and the long nose offers some crash protection to the driver (this has been improved in the Talent 2 which, however, is not nearly as elegant).
