Historic narrow gauge freight car, Pölzig Historic narrow gauge freight car 99-61-01 of the Gera-Meuselwitz-Wuitzer Eisenbahn (GMWE), a 31 km long meter gauge railway that existed between 1901 and 1969 and had a tram network connection at Gera. This car, built in 1901 by Uerdingen, can be seen in front of the former Pölzig station since 17 June 2012. Its original number prior to the nationalisation in 1949 was GMWE Gw 17. Ex-DR narrow gauge freight wagons in Freital-Hainsberg, including a
transport car for a standard gauge freight wagon, which gives you some
comparison of size. The line to Kipsdorf has currently no regular
freight trains.

Four-axle narrow gauge freight cars type GGwhel of the DR with wooden
carbodies stored in Freital-Hainsberg. Freight service on the line to
Kipsdorf was abandoned long ago, so these cars are not in service,
perhaps they are used as storage rooms. 2001-01-28.

Freight wagons of DR type OOw in Kurort Kipsdorf. The line
(Weißeritztalbahn) has no regular freight trains, so these are probably

Preserved narrow gauge freight car DRG inscriptions, No. K3447, type GGw,
in Radebeul Ost. Today owned by the Verkehrsmuseum Dresden. This car
already has Scharfenberg couplers, but still wheels for the old Heberlein
rope brake on the roof. 2001-01-28.

Radebeul Ost, 2001-04-29.

Preserved 750 mm open freight wagon No. 347 of the K.Sächs.Sts.E.B.,
Radebeul Ost, 2001-04-29. When the old Heberlein rope brake was used,
even open freight cars like this needed high supports for the brake rope.

Preserved 750 mm wood transport wagon No. 5041 K of the K.Sächs.Sts.E.B.,
Radebeul Ost, 2001-04-29. Two of these cars were coupled to transport
long wood.

This was the station of Lohsdorf between Hohnstein and Kohlmühle (Schwarzbachbahn, in service from 1897
to 1951). Two carbodies of freight cars GGwhEl have been preserved and
will form part of a small museum at first; later it is planned to build up
the entire line again. 2001-06-14.

Narrow gauge car for transporting standard gauge freight cars on the
line Freital-Hainsberg - Kurort Kipsdorf. To allow this transportation
of standard gauge rolling stock, the profile of the line had to be
modified. Today, it has no more freight trains. 2001-01-28.
