The Deutsche Bahn AG took over a large number of double-decker cars with entrances to the inferior level from the former Deutsche Reichsbahn of East Germany. Currently, they are all rebuilt, with new windows, doors and seats, in the new colours for regional trains of the DBAG. As the number of cab cars was not sufficient and the double-decker cars were all 2nd class, new cab cars DABgbuzf 777 were built, with a 1st class compartment and a wider loading gauge in the upper level. This photo shows such a train in Stuttgart, going to Tuebingen. Photo and scan by Tobias B. Koehler (unci@tigerden.com)
