car for the ordered <i>ICE L</i> sets. Deutsche Bahn will order
up to 100 push-pull trainsets that can either be operated with new
multi-system electric locomotives (Talgo Travca) or with dual power
locomotives (Vectron DM). It is planned to take the first trains
into service in 2024; they will reach speeds of up to 230 km/h.
