Prototype dual system locomotive (3kV/15 kV, 16 2/3 Hz 3060 kW) is ready for departure in station Praha-Holesovice, with the fast train 370 to Amsterdam CS. Max. speed: 160 km/h This type of locomotives works only on the line Praha - Dresden. Sometimes, its journey is Praha - Dresden - Berlin.

CD dual system locomotive 371 002-7 in front of the EC 173 VINDOBONA
stopping in Decín hl.n. Due to the high amperages in the DC system,
both pantographs are raised when accelerating the train. 2001-04-08.

CD 371.002 with EC 173 Vindobona in Usti nad Labem. Currently 4 different engines are nescessary for the whole route from Hamburg to Viena: DB class 101 Hamburg-Dresden, CD class 371 Dresden-Prague, ZSSK class 350 Prague-Breclav, ÖBB class 1116 Breclav-Vienna. To avoid this, CD has ordered new multi-system engines (future class 380). CD 371.002 mit EC 173 Vindobona in Usti nad Labem. Zur Zeit sind 4 verschiedenen Loks für Strecke von Hamburg nach Wien notwendig: DB 101 Haburg-Dresden, CD 371 Dresden-Prag, ZSSK 350 Prag-Breclav, ÖBB 1116 Breclav-Wien. The CD 371 001-9 has just arrived with the EC Hungaria in Bad Schandau,
track 1, with 15 minutes delay. 2001-05-06.

The CD 371 001-9 was just coupled to the EC Hungaria Budapest - Berlin
(consisting of MÁV rolling stock) in Praha-Holesovice and will bring
this train to Dresden Hbf, where the locomotive will be changed again -
even though the 371 could technically run to Berlin, it is needed for
trains across the border. 2001-05-06.

27 May 2000 (last day of operation for this train).
