Photo taken out of the front window of a waiting train, while another
train descends the steep ramp from Engelberg (up to 24.6 % with rack).
For safety reasons, a power car is always on the "lower" end of the
train on this ramp. 2003-02-11.

Zentralbahn - Switzerland As long as the new tunnel to Engelberg is not finished, the old rack motor cars BDeh4/4 1 to 8 will keep on hauling the passenger trains between Luzern and Engelberg. Zentralbahn - Switzerland The former LSE motor cars 1-8 are not often seen from the back end. However, they do have a driving position here for emergencies and shunting.
