Waldenburgerbahn - Switzerland WB has the narrowest gauge (750mm) for normal passenger operation in Switzerland. The trains run from Liestal close to Basel into the hills to Waldenburg. Note that there is a very convenient bus between Waldenburg (WB) and Balsthal (OeBB)! WB BDe4/4 11 has just reached its end point. Waldenburg, 29-10-2009 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |

Maybe this is the only ladder for catenary-maintenance in gauge 750mm in the world, but surely in Europe. So it got a special shed. Remember: Waldenburgerbahn is a Swiss company, so accurateness is not avoidable. Seen in Waldenburg on 1st of April 2007. Photo ©Arnim v. Herff |
